Background Blockcrunch is a top podcast in crypto providing research-driven insights via weekly interviews with founders and investors. Since 2018, we’ve interviewed billionaire founders, top fund managers, even a Grammy-winning rock star!

But Blockcrunch is more than a media company - it’s core to everything I do as an investor - from research, to networking, to keeping abreast of the space.

For the first time in 4 years, I’m looking to onboard a part-time intern to work with me personally. This is an exploratory position for someone looking to transition full time into crypto.

I will mentor the candidate, with the goal of coaching the candidate to become an eventual hire at a top crypto project/ fund of their choosing.

Role Description

• Title: Analyst at Blockcrunch Media
• Key tasks/ focus areas:
  • Build a brand for yourself: compose episode summaries and synthesis threads for Blockcrunch episodes weekly, to be published under the @theBlockcrunch handle. Analyst to be given credit to establish their own brand in the industry
  • Learn how to ask questions like an investor: Research projects to be brought on Blockcrunch and prepare memos + thoughtful questions weekly ahead of interviews
  • Learn how to source intel: maintain a calendar of upcoming launches and events in crypto
  • Pitch new ideas to increase Blockcrunch engagement
  • Ad-hoc research tasks for new projects

Experience required

• Strong interest in crypto and desire to break into the industry
• As Blockcrunch adheres to a weekly schedule, candidate must have good time management and accountability
• Excellent communication skills

Contract

• Independent contractor contract
• 3-month program to be renewed based on performance and mutual agreement
